Dodge Cares Inc., a 501(c)3 exempt agent-driven charity, donated over $34,000 to several non-profit and charitable organizations this year. During the presentation of checks, representatives, associates and the company spoke about what these donations mean to the organizations and the needy people they help.
Dodge Cares, Inc. mission is to help provide food, shelter and comfort for the homeless, displaced, and abused in eastern Nebraska and western Iowa. Nate Dodge spoke about the commitment NP Dodge has for these charitable organizations and area communities. Donations were made possible by generous contributions from NP Dodge sales associates and matching funds from NP Dodge Company for 2014.
“We’re so happy for those receiving these monetary gifts and proud of our agents for their generous giving to our communities,“ said Mary Rensch, President of Dodge Cares, Inc.
Recipients of the Dodge Cares donations are the Mission Omaha Foundation, Open Door Mission, Siena/Francis House, Stephen Center, Lydia House, Habitat for Humanity of Omaha, Habitat for Humanity of Sarpy County, Fremont Area Habitat for Humanity, Council Bluffs Housing Trust Fund, Youth Emergency Services, Joseph’s Coat, Together Inc., and Mohm’s Place.
As Mimi Hunter with Lydia House and Open Door Mission said, “We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without Dodge Cares.” During the last 10 years, Dodge Cares has donated over $275,000 to local charities.

Founded in 2002, Dodge Cares, Inc. is a 501(C)3 exempt agent-driven charity. Through this organization NP Dodge sales associates make contributions to approved charities. NP Dodge then matches those contributions up to $250 per person per year. The company’s match also goes to the charity designated by the agent. Dodge Cares, Inc. is run by a board of directors made up of associates and employees of NP Dodge Company.
